We have an exciting opportunity for a Technology Architect to join Norgine. The person holding this position will report to the Associate Director of Technology and be a member of the IT team. The core responsibility of the Technology Architect is to research and identify emerging technologies, evaluating opportunities, and identifying risks. This process will direct technology roadmaps that align to the business strategic strategy. They will also be responsible for the enterprise-level design, integration, and lifecycle of existing and future technology solutions in Norgine. This will be a 12-month FTC role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for developing, managing and maintaining technology which underpins existing systems and software throughout the enterprise.
- Embedding new systems / major changes into the Business.
- Focus on enterprise requirements and driving innovation across the technology platforms; delivering architecture to underpin the application ecosystem which supports the organisation, drives integration, and supporting the technical roadmap.
- Document the company’s existing systems architecture and technology portfolio; make recommendations for improvements and alternatives.
- Collaborate with Application Architects, Enterprise Architects, and Product owners ensure the solution fits with the current infrastructure, aligned to operational processes and technology roadmaps.
- Ensure that the infrastructure and architecture are in accordance with the company’s strategic design policy.
- Be forward-thinking, and a subject matter expert for M365 application suite and Azure platform.
- Be proactive in leading changes and improvements, identifying projects and developing proposals that outline costs and resource required.
- Work with GBS as a strategic technical lead on projects to ensure a standardised approach is taken.
- Work with GBS and external partners to define technology projects and implementations, providing guidance on the architecture and standards required.
- Work with GBS and external partners to ensure systems and services are consistently updated on a periodic basis to remain in support and ensuring that a risk-based approach is followed.
- Provide technical guidance on problem resolution across all IT Infrastructure services, finding the root cause and implementing solutions to mitigate future reoccurrences.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Solid experience in IT architectural operations and Infrastructure
- Extensive knowledge and strong background of Infrastructure, Network, and Microsoft 365 technologies, particularly Azure Cloud & Data platform solutions in a large-scale complex environment.
- Experience of AI & ML incorporating data, platforms & governance.
- Extensive knowledge in Cybersecurity to design solutions within a zero-trust framework.
- Knowledge of strategic frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Ability to analyse different technologies, evaluate any risks and opportunities, and formulate proposals for approval.
