As an Order Processor, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and accurate handling of customer orders from receipt to creating purchase orders. You'll work closely with the sales and warehouse to maintain high standards of efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter and process customer orders into our system
- Placing purchase orders through Sage (Training provided)
- Communicate with customers regarding order status, delivery updates, and queries
- Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely dispatch and delivery
- Monitor stock levels and inform relevant departments of any discrepancies or low inventory
- Handle order amendments, cancellations, and returns in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of orders and transactions
- Support the wider operations team with general administrative duties as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in order processing, administration, or a similar role preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using order management systems like Sage or KBB Connect (SMART) would be preferable, but training will be provided
- A team player with a customer-first mindset
