The Role:
We are looking for a full-time Acquisition Marketing Manager to work across our running, cycling and swimming events β including the TCS London Marathon. You will lead on day-to-day operations, campaign creation and orchestration, reporting to our Head of Marketing and working within the Marketing & Communications Department. Your direct reports will be CRM manager, Social Media Lead (plus team) and Video Editor.
You should have experience of using multiple acquisition channels including Paid, Social Media, SEO, CRM, affiliates and partners. You will have the ability to make decisions based on the analysis of key trends using reporting and monitoring and CDP software. You will work alongside the content and creative teams to ensure the appropriate generation of content for all channels to support our campaigns and participant engagement and work in tandem with the Head of Marketing to create long term strategies including (but not limited to) new user acquisition, retention campaigns, cross-selling and onboarding.
You will have a track record in engaging users, be self-motivated, a team player with a positive outlook and the ability to lead/deliver projects and contribute effectively to team and organisational objectives.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the growth of new customers and leads as well as driving quality traffic to our websites and registration platforms from all digital channels.
- Developing and implementing new customer acquisition, retention and onboarding campaigns responding to the acquisition targets of the business.
- Working with the creative team to define creative for yearly campaigns and look and feel for social and email communications.
- Overseeing creation, communication, and execution of campaigns across Paid and Organic media, as well as day to day management, creation of email assets and delivery via our CDP Bloomreach and other platforms.
- Storyboarding, organising video campaign pieces, managing video production output, archive and work with external agencies before, during and after our events.
- Creative input into photo and video shoots for social media.
- Ideation and working with production for larger campaign creative βset piecesβ.
- Taking ownership of the budget, tracking, and reporting for the channels under your remit.
- Managing CRM manager, social media lead (and social team) and video editor (direct reports).
- Managing external agencies where appropriate (including affiliates, paid media, and digital marketing).
- Evaluating success of acquisition channels.
- Expanding and improving reporting to gain a better understanding of customer behaviour through actionable data.
- Working with other Marcomms teams (Content, Creative, PR) and teams across the business to deliver campaigns to inspire activity.
Required:
- Proven experience of creating and running marketing acquisition-focused campaigns.
- A strong communicator, creative thinker and great collaborator, able to work closely with your peers to achieve mutual goals.
- Background in defining strategies across digital, with a strong track record of delivering growth.
- Analytical, data driven marketing expertise that bases decisions on insights and facts.
- Digital all-rounder, you will be experienced in a range of Digital Acquisition tactics: PPC, SEO, social media, paid media, eCRM, Affiliates, content programmes.
Desirable:
- Third party agency management experience.
