The Product Growth Specialist is responsible for managing and closing inbound sales opportunities within the Commercial (SMB) segment, with a strong focus on leads generated by Marketing and Partner channels. The role exists to drive efficient revenue growth from lower-value opportunities by running a full sales cycle.
By combining a structured, playbook-driven approach with strong product knowledge, the Product Growth Specialist ensures timely engagement, clear qualification, and confident conversion of prospects. This role supports Matillion’s strategy to scale revenue in the Commercial space in a cost-effective and focused way.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and convert inbound opportunities from Marketing campaigns, the website, and Partner referrals across the commercial segment
- Run a full sales cycle from qualification through to close, following a clearly defined playbook and using Matillion’s Inside Sales process
- Deliver engaging discovery calls and product demos to guide prospects through early-stage decision-making
- Understand customer needs and effectively position Matillion’s value, tailoring conversations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Maintain accurate records of pipeline, activity, and opportunity stages within Salesforce
- Handle sales objections and simple commercial hurdles to progress deals efficiently and independently
- Contribute to consistent pipeline conversion and closed revenue performance in line with monthly and quarterly targets
- Keep up to date on product capabilities, use cases, and the competitive landscape to support value-led selling
- Collaborate with the Partnerships and Marketing teams to give feedback on lead quality and identify patterns that support continual improvement
Must-Haves
- Experience in Inside Sales or as a high-performing SDR ready to take on a full-cycle closing role
- Comfortable owning the end-to-end sales process and running product demos independently
- Structured and process-driven, with a strong ability to follow a defined sales playbook
- Technically curious and able to learn and explain product functionality with confidence
- Commercially aware, target-driven, and motivated by achieving tangible results
- Confident communicator with strong listening skills and customer-first thinking
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRMHighly coachable, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with data platforms, ETL/ELT, or cloud infrastructure is a plus.
- Experience working across SMB and commercial customer segments.
- Exposure to the Command of the Message or MEDDPICC frameworks.
At Matillion, we are committed to providing compensation in line with market standards based on the role, job family, job level, and country. This role’s estimated annual salaried pay range for this position is £36,000 – £54,000. Because this role is eligible for variable pay in the form of sales commissions, your total annual on-target annual earnings will be between £60,000 – £90,000. The final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
