Managing Editor, ITV News

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the senior leadership team at ITV Network News. The Managing Editor will be a key part of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to and working closely with the Editor of ITV Network News. The Managing Editor will drive editorial and operational strategy and newsroom growth and develop new ways of working to ensure ITV News can deliver its multi-platform and multi-programme ambitions, delivering content on TV, digital, YouTube and ITVX. You will be involved in nurturing and training new talent both on and off screen, lead on projects, and you will act as a crucial link between the newsroom, the ITV network and ITN, as well as external organisations and stakeholders. You will also have responsibility for compliance and overseeing the management of our external communications. You will also lead on diversity and inclusion, ensuring representation is a central part of our strategy and content. Candidates should be able to demonstrate strong editorial judgement and experience at a senior level in a newsroom. You will also have a deep understanding of the future of broadcasting, a track record of delivering projects of scale and a proven ability to manage teams. You will also be experienced at effectively managing resources and be a strong strategic thinker.
