Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate People Business Partner to support and drive the HR strategy in our nursing home sector. The People Business Partner will play a key role in ensuring that our workforce is engaged, supported, and aligned with the organization\’s values and objectives. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of the healthcare sector, and the ability to foster a positive work environment for our team members.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Workforce Planning:
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement effective HR strategies to attract, retain, and develop talent within the nursing home sector.
- Provide proactive workforce planning to ensure the nursing home meets staffing requirements and manages turnover effectively.
- Advise and support on organizational changes, restructuring, and new initiatives.
Employee Engagement & Wellbeing:
- Champion employee engagement initiatives that foster a supportive, inclusive, and caring work culture.
- Drive employee recognition and wellbeing programs, ensuring the health and safety of all staff members.
- Conduct regular engagement surveys, analyse results, and collaborate with leadership to implement improvements.
Talent Management & Development:
- Collaborate with management to identify training and development needs, creating tailored programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Support career progression plans for staff members and create pathways for growth and retention.
- Oversee the induction and onboarding process for new staff, ensuring a smooth transition into the organisation.
Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution:
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on workplace issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including those specific to the healthcare and nursing home sector.
- Investigate and address employee grievances in a fair and consistent manner.
Compliance & Policies:
- Ensure that all HR policies and procedures are in compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and industry standards.
- Work with management to maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
- Keep up to date with changes in employment law, healthcare regulations, and best HR practices.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a People Business Partner, HR Manager, or in a similar HR role, preferably in the healthcare or nursing home sector.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and regulations relevant to the healthcare sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels.
- Experience in conflict resolution, employee relations, and performance management.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CIPD or equivalent certification is preferred.
