This is a junior role, ideal for someone who has gained one or two years' experience in a similar role. Our client, a boutique design-driven property development company, is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Property Manager to join their small team. Reporting directly to the Head of Property Management, this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get involved at 360° and learn as much as possible within an organisation that supports continuous professional development. You will help to look after a portfolio of both residential and commercial properties. This is a great opportunity for career growth!
Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure all units are well maintained and compliant with health & safety, fire, and building regulations.
- Report any issues promptly to the Head of Property Management.
- Carry out in-depth market research to identify the most reliable and cost-effective suppliers for property maintenance services and products, ensuring quality and due diligence.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and service providers for maintenance works, utility management, repairs, and cleaning services.
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, conducting site visits to ensure consistently high standards of service delivery.
- Act as the first point of contact for tenants, addressing enquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the Head of Property Management during site visits and daily operations, contributing to the smooth management of the property portfolio.
- Demonstrate a proactive, solution-oriented approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and tenant satisfaction.
Must have:
- Strong attention to detail and proof-reading skills
- Highly organised and punctual
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Analytical and strategic thinking
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel skills
- Proven understanding of compliance paperwork
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Degree Qualified in a Construction / Property related field - desirable
- 1-2 years of past experience in a similar role
