At SAMMY Labs we are building a new software paradigm that will one day [we hope] be as ubiquitous as having a git repo! SAMMY is live, AI-powered graph of every possible click path in our customers' software, enabling us to automatically generate personalized onboarding, walkthroughs, and documentation that update instantly - but that's just the start. Check out www.sammylabs.com for more info.
Company status: We've just completed YCombinator and raised a very healthy seed round from T1 investors and Angels. Top 5 launch in the batch!
In just 3 months we have 10+ enterprise customers from series A all the way to decacorns!
The role/what we are looking for: We are all builders and there's a lot to build! We love folks who build in their spare time so show us the cool stuff you have made. Practically, you're a scrappy dev and happy to hop on YouTube/deep research to learn new things. Ideally 2+ years experience in a software engineer role (new grads welcome but you need to have things you have personally built). We don’t care what university you went to or where you’ve worked prior, the main thing is you learn fast. This is a great role for someone who wants to learn the inner workings of an extremely fast-growing startup to one day take the plunge of your own.
Skills we favour but aren’t a requirement:
- Next.js
- Python
- AWS infra
- Langchain/langgraph
- FastAPI
Wait so it’s a full-stack role? Sort of... If you’re purely front-end or backend you need to show you are a beast at one of them - how you show us is up to you.
Pay & Equity: Not being transparent with pay & equity sucks, we know. Which is why there is no upper limit to either, come to us with an offer - if you think you’re a 150k/yr dev just tell us why, and if we agree - that salary is yours. Same with equity.
Culture & Team: We have overwhelming demand right now, we’ve had to move new customers to a waitlist... which means we work super hard. If you’re past the late nights stage of your career that’s totally understandable! We are all laser focused on building an entirely new software paradigm and that should excite you too! Everyone is autonomous, if you prefer to have a checklist of things to do then perhaps SAMMY isn’t for you. You’ll be setting your own roadmap. We’re ex-Palantir, ex-founders, ex-hedge fund & ex-team GB athlete (singular, only one of us was an athlete, the rest of us were certainly not).
Benefits:
- We pay whatever you want - it’s up to you to convince us you’re worth it. That includes equity. We’re well-funded and want to take the best folks so the salary should match!
- Free lunch & dinner / Josh will cook for you (eat at your own risk).
- We do a group activity every week, not something lame like dinner - clay shooting, climbing, VR arcade - that kinda stuff.
- Our CEO’s dog, Luffy, is unbelievably cute (you must be okay with dogs, he’s a non-negotiable!).
