A well-recognised organisation is looking to recruit a Senior Manager to join their in-house tax team based in London. The role will assist with the management of the global compliance requirements of the group across a significant number of jurisdictions, working with local finance teams and external advisors responsible for pulling together the computations in each location. The role will also be involved in Pillar 2 and CbCR.
The key responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of tax compliance filings in multiple different jurisdictions, including Pillar 2 and country-by-country reporting. This includes information gathering, and leveraging technology and offshore resources where possible.
- Corresponding with local tax authorities on inquiries.
- Assessing the corporate tax compliance obligations in various territories and coordinating with the finance team and local tax advisors to fulfil these obligations in a timely manner.
It is anticipated the successful candidate will be a seasoned in-house tax specialist with a strong tax compliance management background and one of the ACA/ACCA/CTA qualifications. They will need to demonstrate strong UK and international tax knowledge and experience, with the ability to identify key issues and inconsistencies. They will need to be comfortable reviewing overseas tax calculations and returns prepared by, and with advice from, local advisers. In addition, they will need to have experience of working with financial statements and accounting data, including providing tax journals for year-end reporting purposes and providing figures for the tax notes to consolidated and standalone financial statements.
