Gateway manager freight

NEW POSITION – We are recruiting for our client based near Heathrow to oversee and lead the Import / Export Gateway team.

Duties

1. Manage gateway operations team and customs staff
2. Oversee air, road, and sea shipments and resolve any issues
3. Plan week ahead and staff rotas for out-of-office cover
4. Arrange and implement training where required for staff
5. Liaise with customs and ensure shipments are cleared following regulations
6. Offer quotes and liaise with projects team
7. Oversee ETSF & DEP

You should have strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team while maintaining a professional environment. Good attention to detail, operations knowledge, and understanding of customs and VAT are essential.
