Your Role as a Live-In Carer

As a Country Cousins live-in carer, you will provide personalised, one-to-one support to clients in their own homes, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and valued. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing companionship and emotional support tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Assisting with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
  • Supporting clients with medical or mobility needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
  • Working alongside families and healthcare professionals, including district nurses and specialist agencies such as Marie Curie and Macmillan.

Requirements

  • At least six months of professional care experience.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Self-employment status and two professional references.
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
  • Evidence of relevant training, including: Manual Handling, Basic First Aid, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults.
