We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Operations Manager ready to take the reins in this brand-new nightlife venue. Reporting to the Nightlife General Manager, the Bar Operations Manager will oversee and elevate bar service across this high-profile nightlife venue within a luxury hotel setting. The Bar Operations Manager is responsible for the performance, profitability and guest experiences of all bar operations.
A natural leader with operational finesse, the Bar Operations Manager will drive the commercial success of the venue through high-impact service delivery, team performance and creative bar programming. Working closely with event producers, marketing and client-facing teams to ensure seamless bar service across VIP nights, private events, brand take-overs and premium table service experiences.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead and manage day-to-day bar operations, ensuring smooth, efficient and high-quality service.
- Recruit, train, develop and inspire a high-performing team with a culture of excellence, creativity and accountability.
- Manage stock control purchasing and supplier relationships to achieve strong gross profit margins and minimise waste.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales and operations teams to develop bespoke drinks menus, brand partnerships and guest experiences.
- Ensure full compliance with licensing regulation, health and safety legislation and food hygiene regulations.
- Analyse sales and service data to drive performance and identify new commercial opportunities.
- Represent the bar in planning meetings, production calls and VIP service briefings for major events.

Weβre Looking For Someone With:
- 5+ years experience in bar management, ideally within luxury nightlife, high-end hospitality or events.
- Personal licence to sell alcohol as required under the Licensing Act 2003.
- Excellent leadership, training and people management skills.
- Deep knowledge of bar operations, stock control, compliance and licensing.
- Comfortable working late nights, weekends and in high-pressure environments.
- Strong financial acumen and experience using bar management systems (POS).
- Experience with brand activation and cocktail menu development.
