Join the Paw‑sme team at Rudie\’s Kitchen, part of Butternut Box, where delicious dog‑friendly meals are cooked and packaged. The role is located in Blyth, Doncaster.

We offer a competitive wage of £12.84 per hour plus a 20% shift premium (£15.41 per hour). Base salary is £27,468 with a 20% raise to £32,961. This is a full‑time permanent contract, 41 hours per week with a shift rotation that includes days, nights and weekends. Typical rotation patterns are: 4 on / 4 off, 5 on / 5 off.

Responsibilities

• Work safely, following all procedures and wearing protective equipment at all times.
• Drive line performance and diagnose operational issues.
• Perform quality checks to meet product specifications.
• Maintain machine hygiene, carry out changeovers and prepare ingredients for production.
• Operate production line equipment to agreed settings.
• Handle waste processing, order packing and general facility hygiene.
• Meet key performance indicators and attend daily review and performance meetings.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous machine operative experience in a food manufacturing environment (desirable).
• Knowledge of heavy‑duty, high‑speed machinery.
• Strong understanding of safety methods and hazard regulations.
• Proficient in speaking, reading and numeracy in English.
• Attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a chilled environment and with raw protein (lamb, pork, turkey, chicken).
• Commitment to food quality and teamwork.
