Sports Massage Therapist

We are looking for a dynamic Sports Massage/Soft Tissue Therapist to join the team on a self-employed basis.

Reporting to the Clinic Manager, you\’ll be an integral member of the clinic’s multidisciplinary team. You\’ll provide the highest standard of care to a self-pay and private medical insured patient caseload, following established clinical pathways from initial triage to discharge.

As a great communicator, you\’ll build long-lasting relationships with clients and work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Take professional responsibility as a Sports Massage/Soft Tissue Therapist with decision-making, autonomy, and clinical-reasoning skills to assess and treat.
2. Comply with all policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations to ensure consistent service delivery and customer experience.
3. Communicate effectively with clients, respecting privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
4. Coordinate with referring parties to ensure continued and uninterrupted care.
5. Advise clients on nutrition, exercise, equipment, sleep, stress management, and overall wellbeing.
6. Proactively attract new and returning clients, including leading corporate workshops as prepared with the partnerships manager.
7. Identify and report risks to the Clinic Manager to improve clinic standards.
8. Maintain accurate client documentation and complete records in a timely manner.
9. Engage in ongoing professional development and evidence CPD activities.
10. Abide by relevant governing body guidelines (e.g., SMA) when treating patients.
11. Support service improvements within the multidisciplinary team.

Required Experience and Qualifications

1. Sports massage qualification with relevant insurance.
2. Ability to work autonomously while following clinical pathways.
3. Evidence of ongoing professional development.
4. Excellent organizational, time management, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficiency in written English and Microsoft Office.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications

1. Experience in generating new business and managing a client caseload.
2. Experience working in private healthcare settings.
