Deputy Operations Manager – Parking Services
DEPUTY OPERATIONS MANAGER
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to co-lead and assist in the management of the Parking and Shopmobility Service, with a strong focus on customer service, commercial performance, and operational excellence.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality services through effective asset management, financial oversight, and continuous improvement. Supporting the Operations Manager, you¼ help create and manage service and corporate contracts, drive revenue, and identify savings while maintaining best practice.
With responsibility for managing budgets, you¼ ensure resources are allocated efficiently, financial targets are met, and long-term sustainability is supported through sound financial planning and cost control.
You will also oversee the full contract lifecycle, leading procurement, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance. Your project management skills will support the successful delivery of system upgrades and service improvements, balancing strategic goals with day-to-day operations.
With experience motivating teams in a customer-focused environment, you¼ lead change, influence outcomes, and deliver results. Strong analytical, financial, and organisational skills, along with the ability to build relationships and drive innovation, are essential in this fast-paced role.
Owing to the nature of this position you will need to be able to travel around the city either in your own vehicle (which is insured for business use) or using a bicycle.
The successful candidate will need to complete an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check.

Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.

Salary: £40,476 – £45,718 per annum (City Pay Band 6) pro rata for part time
Location: Predominantly on site at Grand Arcade Car Park, but also occasional working at home.
