We’re delighted to be partnering and supporting an exciting legal technology company that uses AI to help businesses review contracts more efficiently. As a Lead Legal Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing their contract automation solutions. You’ll work closely with both their legal and engineering teams to bridge the gap between legal expertise and technical development, ensuring their products meet the highest standards of accuracy, usability, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and optimisation of contract automation tools and platforms.
- Collaborate with legal professionals to understand the nuances of contract law and translate them into automated workflows.
- Design and implement technical solutions that address complex legal challenges while ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Mentor and guide a team of legal engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering collaboration across departments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Legal background (LLB or equivalent) ideally with 4+ years PQE as a lawyer.
- Proven experience in legal engineering, contract automation with ideally 2+ years leading/managing a team.
- Knowledge of legal processes, contract law, and legal documentation.
- Experience with contract lifecycle management software.
- Familiarity with Gen AI and machine learning applications in legal tech.
Please note this is a hybrid role and will require being in the office 1-2 days per week in London.
