Responsibilities:
- Achieving sustainable volume and profit growth of the managed product portfolio.
- Manage own portfolio, budget, supplier performance, and customer relationship.
- Effectively launch new products into the product range and ensure appropriate personnel receive the relevant training to ensure they are sold effectively.
- Provide leadership in negotiation with suppliers to secure appropriate purchase/distribution agreements and prices.
- Implementation of a defined pricing strategy, monitor, update selling schedules and any price movements when appropriate.
- Participate in required and related exhibitions and/or seminars.
- Effective management of Product Portfolio in line with Working Capital KPIs.
- Providing commercial product and market updates.
- Work closely with Sales to provide commercial support, and ensure awareness of product specifications, sourcing and purchasing arrangements, availability, and pricing.
Requirements:
- A strong technical chemical background would be ideal.
- Proven track record of 3 – 5+ years in product management, preferably within the chemicals, solvents, or related industries.
- Work under pressure and to strict and sometimes challenging deadlines, with the ability to prioritise own work.
- Have the patience and tenacity to stay with long-term projects, ensuring focus is maintained.
- Work on own initiative but realise the need for the whole team to get the business done.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Have excellent administration, planning, organisational, and timekeeping skills.
