In partnership with Legal & General PLC and NatWest Pension Trustee Limited, with hugely ambitious (and very achievable) growth plans, we are seeking a Tax Manager to join our expanding tax team on a part time basis. The Tax Manager will support the Head of Tax in overseeing all tax obligations across Inspired Villages. This role plays a key part in enhancing tax efficiency by managing core tax processes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and contributing to the development and execution of effective tax strategies aligned with the Group’s governance framework.

The Role:
- Preparing and filing UK Corporation Tax returns in a timely and accurate manner
- Calculating quarterly corporation tax instalment payments and ensuring compliance with HMRC deadlines
- Preparing year-end group tax consolidation and financial statement disclosures
- Overseeing the preparation and submission of VAT returns across the group
- Responding to internal and external VAT-related queries with technical accuracy and clarity
- Managing VAT compliance, including new VAT registrations, VAT groupings, and Options to Tax elections
- Handling VAT correspondence with HMRC, including managing requests and providing timely responses
- Preparing PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) calculations and coordinating submission
- Reviewing Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns and ensuring adherence to filing deadlines
- Guiding IR35 compliance, including conducting assessments and responding to business queries
- Assisting the Head of Tax on a variety of ad hoc tax projects and initiatives
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Tax Manager or in a similar tax-focused role, ideally within a complex corporate environment
- Demonstrating expert-level knowledge of UK Corporation Tax and VAT, with the ability to apply legislation in a commercial context
- Prior in-house tax experience is desirable, though not essential
- Possessing experience with Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) is advantageous, but not required
- Professionally qualified in tax or accountancy (ACA, ACCA and/or CTA) or qualified by experience.
