We’re looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to support operational safety across a group of busy industrial sites, with a focus on heavy plant, equipment, and high-risk activity.
This is a hands-on role partnering with site teams to improve safety performance and embed a strong, proactive safety culture. You’ll be part of a wider HSEQ function and work closely with site leadership and operational staff to ensure that safety systems are understood, followed, and continuously improved.
The Role:
- Support H&S activities across multiple industrial sites in the region
- Partner with site teams to drive engagement and promote positive safety behaviours
- Carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments focused on plant and equipment safety
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of key safety systems such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), permit-to-work, confined space entry, and machinery controls
- Provide coaching, support, and practical advice to operational managers and teams
- Contribute to investigations, reporting, and ongoing safety improvement initiatives
About You:
- NEBOSH-qualified, with solid experience in a heavy manufacturing, waste, or similar heavy plant environment
- Strong understanding of operational safety processes, including LOTO and other high-risk controls
- Able to build effective relationships across operational teams and influence day-to-day practices
- Comfortable with regular travel between regional sites
- Proactive, practical, and confident working on the front line of safety
