This role is responsible for handling a high volume of incoming synchronization quote requests across all media from our sub-publisher representatives around the world. This includes all aspects of the clearance and negotiation process, responding swiftly to sub-publishers' needs, cultivating and building relationships with sub-publishers, communicating new releases and sync priorities, tracking confirmed syncs, and liaising with BMG's songwriters, artists and affiliates.
Key Responsibilities:- Key point of contact for negotiating, clearing, quoting and securing third party approval as needed on inbound sync requests from sub-publishers.
- Determining appropriate fee quotes for sync usages based on prior licensing history, discussions with sub-publisher and approval/specifications from the writer and/or artist client.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, primarily our international sub-publishers.
- Troubleshooting and working through complications as they arise.
- Identifying BMG's ownership/control of an applicable composition/recording; interpreting internal contracts to determine sync licensing approval restrictions.
- Global collaboration and interactivity across territories with other sync colleagues.
- Experienced in and passionate about synchronization licensing field.
- Ability to learn quickly and interest in improving negotiation skills.
- Great communication skills and ability to manage information upwardly and outwardly.
- Ability to navigate challenging situations with varying levels of clientele.
- Team-oriented and thrives in a collaborative, productive environment.
- Highly organized and adept at Microsoft Office Suite.
