The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Are you an experienced SQL Data Engineer / Developer? Do you have strong experience in Microsoft SSIS? Would you like to work for a leading financial services company who are enjoying a time of strong growth? They offer very flexible hybrid working and have an office in Edinburgh & Glasgow. This is a 24 month Fixed Term Contract (salaried). This role is not open to sponsorship and you need to live within commuting distance of one of the offices.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design & develop solutions that meet the needs of the business and are consistent with the overall technology strategy.
  • Ensures adherence to standards through training and education.
  • Follows procedures to ensure successful implementation and promotion of code using source control.
  • Participates in project work as required.
  • Works with the Development Team Leader to plan/schedule work, regularly reporting progress and issues.
  • Be involved in testing strategies.
  • Consider the full data lifecycle when delivering a solution.
  • Work with the data team to ensure that data principles & data strategy are considered when analysing data.
  • Ensure all supporting data models and supporting documentation is produced and maintained.

Required skills:

  • Strong experience querying Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Highly experienced in SSIS.
  • SSRS is ideal.
  • SQL Scripting and performance tuning.
  • Able to design, create, maintain database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures and functions.
  • Ability to demonstrate good collaboration skills with other team members, particularly providing input and feedback on requirements and design.
  • Experience of Data Warehousing would be highly advantageous as would knowledge of PL/SQL and Visual Studio - C#.
