Assistant General Manager

Notting Hill, London

We’re a premium-casual restaurant and bar in Notting Hill, blending Josper grill, wood-fired pizzas, a cocktail bar, private dining, and flexible event spaces into a stylish, welcoming setting that keeps guests coming back.

Backed by experienced hospitality owners from the US and Europe, this independent concept is all about creativity, quality, and genuine connection, and now we’re looking for a hands-on, charismatic Assistant General Manager to help drive it forward.

The Role

This is a floor-led role. You’ll be visible in service, connecting with guests, motivating the team, and helping shape the culture of the restaurant. Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and ensure the business runs smoothly and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead from the front; be visible, approachable, and hands-on during service
  • Inspire, coach, and energise a front-of-house team of around 15
  • Maintain a warm, upbeat atmosphere that keeps guests returning
  • Support the GM with all aspects of operations, from P&L to events
  • Drive sales, control costs, and uphold high service and quality standards
  • Champion training and development, building a motivated, high-performing team
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to deliver seamless service

About You

  • Proven experience as an AGM or strong Restaurant Manager in a quality-led, high-volume restaurant or bar
  • Confident, charismatic, and great with both guests and staff
  • Hands-on, proactive, and happiest on the floor leading by example
  • Strong operational understanding; from labour management to GP control
  • Passionate about food, drinks, and creating memorable experiences
  • Ambitious, positive, and excited to help grow an established independent brand
