The Role
The Vertical Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of a cohesive vertical marketing plan in partnership with marketing, sales, and operations teams. This role centres on crafting and delivering impactful, tailored messaging and value propositions that address the distinct needs and challenges of each vertical. The individual will work cross-functionally to coordinate vertical marketing campaigns and ensure messaging is aligned with sales initiatives.
- Messaging and Positioning: Lead the creation of compelling, industry-specific messaging for target verticals, ensuring alignment with Soldo’s value propositions. Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Marketing, and Solutions Marketing to refine positioning and highlight unique selling points that address each vertical\’s primary challenges.
- Content Creation: Develop high-value content to enable Sales and Marketing teams, including webpages, webinars, whitepapers, and solution briefs. Work closely with Communications to produce case studies and real-world success stories to demonstrate Soldo\’s impact across different sectors.
- Campaign Coordination: Outline strategy and manage the execution of integrated marketing campaigns for each vertical, working in close collaboration with Field Marketing and Digital Marketing teams to drive demand generation, lead nurturing, and pipeline development.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Design and implement vertical marketing plans to prioritise key target accounts, channels, and messaging. This includes selecting appropriate marketing tactics—digital campaigns, third-party events, and webinars—to engage audiences and increase brand visibility within each vertical.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with vertically aligned sales teams, Sales Operations, and Product Marketing to identify industry challenges, align on campaign priorities, and integrate new product launches or offers into the vertical marketing strategy.
We\’re looking for someone who must have
- Worked in a B2B business within the technology, SaaS or Fintech industry.
- Experience developing value propositions and vertical-specific content with a good understanding of inbound, outbound and digital marketing best practices.
- Understanding all marketing mix aspects, including research, insight, message development, channels and measurement.
- Experience working with sales teams and supporting programmes that generate pipeline.
- The Ability to consistently produce results on time and within budget.
- A strong pedigree in vertical marketing and demonstrable ROI for the programmes executed.
- The Ability to align tactical plans with strategy.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and marketing automation platforms (Marketo)
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, emphasising presentation and document creation.
