🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

As Senior Buyer, you’ll take ownership of ensuring on-time delivery of materials, components and services, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to keep production running smoothly.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and reviewing MRP requirements to ensure optimal inventory levels and delivery performance.
• Preparing and issuing tenders and managing supplier negotiations.
• Supporting make vs buy decisions and evaluating cost drivers.
• Developing and maintaining supplier relationships with agreed service and framework agreements.
• Monitoring supplier performance and quality, driving improvement where required.
• Working with engineering and operations to source new suppliers and introduce new products.

🧠 What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ideally CIPS qualified (Level 4 or 5) or working towards it (support provided).
• Strong technical understanding – able to interpret engineering drawings and ask the right questions.
• Confident negotiator with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• High energy, enthusiasm, and accountability.
• Familiar with MRP/ERP systems.
