MAIN OBJECTIVES: Experience in Transaction Banking, EMI, virtual IBAN, indirect participation and regulatory compliance knowledge is a must. The Business Development / Relationship Manager will support our Business Banking (BB) unit, which comprises two divisions: Commercial and Transaction Banking. This role will collaborate with the CEO and GM of Business Banking to achieve and surpass the unit’s performance objectives by identifying and acquiring target customers, onboarding new clients, and developing products and services that align with customer needs and the Bank’s strategic goals. The role requires a focused and dedicated approach, consistently striving to exceed expectations while fostering strong and productive relationships with banking clients and colleagues. Building trust and earning respect within the business will be essential to success.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: You must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within Transactional, or Retail, or Commercial Banking, or a Non-Bank Financial Institution Payment Sector environment. Success by meeting key business targets individually and/or collectively within a team. Proven success of increasing share of wallet. Structured, organised and methodical in your day-to-day planning. Ability to interact, persuade and influence key stakeholders. Understanding of services required by Financial Institutions such as Foreign Exchange, all types of Payments, and Client savings services, and the intricacies within each of these schemes. Knowledge of UK regulatory compliance requirements, AML/Financial Crime and risk management principles is preferred.
