Laboratory Technician - Chemical Analysis

Chemistry Technician – 6 months with potential extension PAYE : 37 Our client is a global provider of technologies and services that advance and accelerate the development and manufacture of therapeutics. Their portfolio ranges from fundamental biological research to developing innovative vaccines, biologic drugs, and novel cell and gene therapies. Their mission is to supply the tools and services—such as reagents, equipment, and materials—to enable better, faster, and safer work, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with Chemists, Materials Scientists, Engineers, and Biologists to support activities including chemical analysis, device fabrication, and applications testing. Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests such as Raman Spectroscopy, LC-MS, thermal analysis, and dry weight measurements. Run chemical reactions for the modification of membrane materials in flow reactors, following SOPs. Document experimental findings in Electronic Lab Notebook entries and Technical reports. Assist in lab organization, including maintaining reagent stocks and managing chemical waste disposal. Qualifications: Bachelor\’s degree in a scientific discipline with at least 3 months of laboratory experience, or Science A-levels (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years laboratory experience. Experience in wet chemistry and/or one or more of the analytical methods listed above. Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
