What you will do as a Senior Care Assistant:
We are looking for passionate and hardworking senior carers to assist our residents in enjoying a fulfilling and meaningful life, maintaining their dignity, and helping them feel like valued members of society. You will be promoting independence, choice, and inclusion. The role includes supervising care staff, from the provision of support for day-to-day activities of daily living to full physical and psychological care for people at the end of their lives. You will also assist people to take their medication, develop and update care plans, lead a team of staff, and work with families to ensure they feel involved and part of the Glenholme family.
Essential Skills and Experience as a Senior Care Assistant:
- Minimum of a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), ideally working towards your Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
- Leadership and supervision skills.
- Ability to administer medication (if required, often with relevant training).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
