Air Quality Consultant – Oxford – £32,000 to £42,000 + TOIL + Bonus + Benefits A growing UK-based Environmental Consultancy is seeking an Air Quality Consultant with 2-5 years’ experience to join its expanding team in Oxford . This is an excellent opportunity for an environmental professional to develop their career working on greenhouse gas and emissions-related projects within a supportive and forward-thinking consultancy. Essential Criteria: A BSc (minimum) in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Chemistry, Geography, or a related discipline. 2-5 years’ experience in a consultancy role involving air quality or greenhouse gas emissions. Strong technical skills and familiarity with UK air quality and GHG legislation. Excellent written communication skills for technical report writing. A full UK driving licence. Desirable Criteria: Knowledge of emissions modelling and assessment tools (e.g., ADMS, EMEP/EEA, DEFRA tools). Experience with air quality and carbon reporting for planning or industry. Familiarity with greenhouse gas inventories or climate assessments. Experience working with local authorities or private developers. The Role: This desk-based consultancy role focuses on air quality, emissions, and greenhouse gas assessments for a range of planning, infrastructure, and development projects. You will contribute to modelling, reporting, and project management, working within a fast-growing and collaborative team. Responsibilities include: Supporting and managing technical assessments related to air quality and GHG emissions. Preparing high-quality reports for planning and permitting. Interpreting emissions data and applying relevant UK and EU legislation. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects to deadlines. Contributing to internal knowledge-sharing and project innovation. This is a full-time role based in Oxford , offering hybrid flexibility.
