We are seeking an experienced Storage Architect with 10 to 15 years of hands-on expertise in storage administration, ideally with a valid visa to work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Storage Management:
- Administer and fine-tune Dell/EMC storage systems, focusing on provisioning, performance, and capacity planning.
- Configure and manage MDS switches to ensure robust connectivity and optimal interaction between storage and server environments.
- Develop and enforce storage policies, encompassing data protection, backup, and replication.
Backup and Recovery:
- Lead the configuration, monitoring, and support of Commvault backup solutions.
- Guarantee the success of backup routines and recovery strategies, aligning with RPO and RTO standards.
- Conduct regular testing of recovery procedures to ensure data reliability and availability.
Automation and Optimization:
- Create and maintain scripts to automate repetitive storage and backup operations.
- Evaluate and enhance storage infrastructure performance and scalability to support evolving business requirements.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Partner with server, network, and application teams to deliver cohesive and efficient storage solutions.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing efforts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: 10–15 years of experience in storage administration, particularly with Dell/EMC systems, MDS switches, and Commvault.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced expertise in Dell/EMC storage systems management.
- Deep understanding of SAN technologies and MDS switch configuration.
- Strong knowledge of Veeam backup and restore processes.
- Familiarity with patch management in storage environments.
- Education: Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications include HP ATP, Cisco CCNP Data Center, or Commvault Certified Engineer (VMCE).
Soft Skills:
