Head of Property & Estates, Luss Estates Company, Loch Lomond REF: 10092 An exceptional opportunity to assume a pivotal role as Head of Property & Estates for Luss Estates Company, a forward-thinking, family-owned rural estate business encompassing circa 45,000 acres on the shores of Loch Lomond, offering an increasing array of commercial, environmental, and community-focused activities. Reporting to the Chief Executive and in regular communication with the Family, the Head of Property & Estates will be responsible for the leadership of the Property & Estates team. This role includes managing, enhancing, and optimizing the performance of the Estate’s diverse rural property portfolio, ensuring its long-term future as a profitable and sustainable business while preserving the Family’s heritage for future generations. Responsibilities will include managing the agricultural, residential, and commercial let property portfolio, the estate maintenance department and hydro scheme, the in-hand farm, forestry and woodlands, and the game department. Additionally, you will prioritize environmental sustainability initiatives and seek out new opportunities for diversification, fostering collaboration among other department heads (namely retail, leisure, finance). The Candidate The successful candidate will have the necessary energy, enthusiasm, business expertise, and vision to support the delivery and growth of the business while respecting the traditional and unique nature of the Estate. Important candidate attributes include: MRICS qualified with a proven track record in managing property and rural operations and experience in identifying areas for improvement and new revenue generation within a diverse rural business. An engaging and friendly character with strong leadership qualities. People-focused, someone who leads by example and can interact and develop strong relationships with tenants, local bodies, and the broader community. Commercially and financially astute, with a keen eye for maximizing revenue opportunities and day-to-day operational effectiveness. Well organized, methodical, with good attention to detail.
