We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Housing Officer to join our team and help us to deliver high quality housing services. KNOWLEDGE
- Operational knowledge of housing policy and related legislation is desirable to deliver accurate information and make balanced judgements within statutory requirements and strict guidelines.
- The jobholder should have experience of dealing with vulnerable and disadvantaged customers, and have knowledge of giving welfare related advice and signposting to support networks.
- Knowledge of housing and related legislation in the operation of Council policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of MS Office or similar Spreadsheet and Word processing applications is essential.
- CIH Level 2, including English, or SVQ equivalent combined with necessary experience. A diploma in Housing Studies is a desirable qualification.
- If the jobholder does not meet the educational criteria, they will have to evidence they have the capacity to meet the educational standard.
- The jobholder requires knowledge of a wide range of jobs and associated activities and will generally need an extended period of relevant working experience to become fully competent and familiar with all aspects of the job (2 years).
