Role: Content Strategist Location: Remote first role (in Gloucestershire 1-2 days per week) About Freja Freja is the UK’s leading bone broth brand, a category that sits between premium ingredients and functional food, with an ecommerce-first business model. Following 4 years of rapid growth and a recent investment round, we are refreshing our brand, and building a team to scale the business. We\’re a small internal team that punches above our weight. We operate a flat structure and a ‘get things done’ mentality. We all roll our sleeves up and execute. About the Role Content Planning & Strategy Using Freja\’s brand book, customer research and data to plan and execute content that resonates with our key customer personas Develop comprehensive content calendars that align with marketing campaigns, product launches, and seasonal initiatives Create compelling narratives that educate consumers about the benefits of bone broth whilst positioning Freja as the category leader Track and analyse content performance, using insights to continuously refine strategy Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with social media, paid search, and ecommerce teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels Partner with the Head of Brand to maintain brand voice and storytelling consistency Collaborate with the digital team to optimise content for SEO and conversion Support retail teams with content that enhances the in-store experience and drives sales Content Creation & Execution Craft compelling copy across multiple formats including video scripts, emails, landing pages, and press releases Develop educational content that clearly communicates the tangible benefits of bone broth to meet consumer need states Create persuasive messaging that highlights the advantages of Freja products over alternative solutions Leverage AI tools to enhance research capabilities and increase content output volume Test and iterate different storytelling approaches and direct response copywriting to maximise engagement and conversion About you The ideal candidate will have exceptional copywriting skills combined with strategic thinking and a deep understanding of consumer psychology. You\’ll be able to articulate how to get under the skin of the Freja customer persona, understanding the psychological and emotional need states that our products can fulfil. You should be comfortable with data analysis to inform your content decisions, whilst maintaining the creative flair needed to craft compelling narratives that educate and convert. You\’ll have 3+ years of experience in content strategy, ideally within food, wellness, or other consumer goods categories. Experience with challenger brands or in launching new product categories is highly valuable. You should be excited about leveraging AI tools to enhance your capabilities, whilst maintaining the authentic human touch that connects with our audience. We\’re a remote-first business, which means you\’ll need to be a self-starter who owns their work, over-communicates and knows how to manage projects effectively using digital tools. You\’ll be expected to spend 1-2 days per week in our office in Stroud, to collaborate with other team members and immerse yourself in the brand. Lastly, you must be a genuine consumer of bone broth. We\’re a team of bone broth evangelists who truly care about our mission, and you can\’t create authentic content unless you understand and believe in the product.
