The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 Β£ per year.
To provide leadership and management for specific higher education programmes validated by a university partnership offered at GBS campuses in London, Birmingham, Leeds, and Manchester. To ensure that the programmes thrive and further the objectives and aims of the GBS Strategic Plan and Learning and Teaching Strategy. The post-holder can be based at any GBS UK campus and we operate a fully on-site working model. Please note this role is not eligible for sponsorship. Responsibilities: To provide leadership to staff involved in the delivery of the programmes delivered by GBS working with Level Leaders, Module Leaders, teaching staff and professional services staff. To manage, on a day-to-day basis, the operation of the programmes awarded by the partner organisation delivered at all GBS campuses. To ensure that students experience the highest quality teaching and learning experience, pastoral support, and careers advice. To ensure that academic standards are met through the assessment process and the marking criteria are consistently operated by all teaching staff involved in the assessment of students. To manage the programme(s) to meet targets set by GBS for student attendance, continuation, completion and progression. To write high quality reports based on relevant quantitative and qualitative data for internal and external audiences. To ensure that the quality assurance and quality enhancement requirements of the partner organisation are fully adhered to and implemented across all the programmes at all GBS campuses. To liaise with key staff at the partner organisation, including the Link Tutor, and act as the key point of contact between GBS and the partner organisation for the specific programme. To attend relevant partnership meetings with the partner organisation and ensure that reports for meetings are produced in a timely manner and of the highest quality. To ensure that staff and students make full use of learning and other resources provided by GBS and the partner organisation, if applicable. To deal with student issues in a timely and professional manner using the appropriate policies and procedures of the partner organisation and/or GBS. To line manage academic staff involved with the delivery and support of the specific programme(s). To undertake other duties and responsibilities in the spirit of the role of Associate Dean, and as required by the Dean or Deputy Dean. To work efficiently, accurately and with attention to detail. To contribute effectively to the Faculty Management Team to ensure the delivery of high quality programme(s) in an efficient and effective manner and ensure a good relationship with the partner university. To travel to all GBS campuses delivering the partner organisation programmes as required. Essential Skills and Experience: Good honours degree and Masterβs degree in a relevant subject area. Experience of successful programme management. Experience of upholding academic standards and enhancing the student learning experience. Experience of working in partnership with universities and other higher education related organisations. Knowledge and understanding of implementing internal quality assurance systems and external quality assurance, e.g. by the Office for Students. A professional approach, operating with integrity at all times. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an enthusiastic approach. Desirable: Experience in the Construction industry. Professional qualifications of relevance to the Construction industry. Recognised teaching qualification, or equivalent recognition, for example, with Advance HE (e.g. FHEA). Experience of quality assurance reviews, for example the QAA or OfS. External examining at UK universities and other higher education providers. PhD or equivalent high level professional experience in the related discipline. Leadership experience in leading through a period of significant expansion or change. Knowledge or a track record of construction management with a specific focus on building information modelling (BIM) and digital technologies relevant to construction at undergraduate and postgraduate level OR relevant professional experience. Experience of design, development, approval or amendment of academic programmes or equivalent. Full membership of CIOB or an equivalent body. In return we offer: Highly competitive salary.
