My client based in Newark is currently recruiting for a white goods grader based at the Currys National Distribution centre in Newark, working Monday-Friday 1300-1900 paying £12.90 per hour, 30 hours per week, weekly pay.
As an on site white goods grader, you will be responsible for accurately observing and checking over white goods such as fridges, washing machines, cookers, and other white goods. Using a step by step check system and knowledge of white good components, each item will be checked over to determine if it is high enough quality to be selected and then sent back to the engineers to be worked on. This is a vital role in the Reuse sector of the business and the sustainability of used white goods.
General Responsibilities & Activities:- Visual checks on all white good items arriving on site
- Quality Control: Inspect products to ensure they meet quality and outlined criteria
- Health & Safety: Comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental policies
- Adhere to all on site rules and regulations
- Stock Check and Paperwork: Carry out daily paperwork regarding stock that has been checked and passed all checks needed, perform weekly stock checks of items kept on site ready for transport
- Safe working: Using sack trucks and moving heavy white good items safely
- Housekeeping: Keep the work area clean, tidy, and free from hazards
- Teamwork: Work alongside Forklift drivers and floor staff while reporting back to your manager
The work environment is predominantly outside in all weather (all weather gear can be provided). Regular exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery. Personal protective equipment (PPE) can be provided following the site PPE rule.
