Sheet Metal Worker in Nottingham

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join a leading company within the aerospace sector. This role requires a background in precision sheet metal fabrication, including TIG welding and press brake operation, producing high-quality components for aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricating and assembling precision sheet metal parts to aerospace specifications.

• Performing TIG welding on thin-gauge materials to a high standard.

• Operating press brakes to accurately form and shape sheet metal components.

• Reading and working from detailed technical drawings and engineering schematics.

• Conducting self-inspection to ensure parts meet strict aerospace quality standards.

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with aerospace industry expectations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication within aerospace or a similar precision industry.

• Proficient in TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminium, and/or other aerospace-grade materials.

• Skilled in setting and operating press brakes for forming complex components.

• Ability to interpret and work accurately from technical and engineering drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset.

• Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (AS9100 or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential.

• A positive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude.
