We are looking for a Vehicle Damage Assessor at our busy workshop in Chelmsford. Ideally, you will understand vehicles and have knowledge of car parts. We have a small, family-feel team in Chelmsford with a great work ethic and lots of experience. As part of a team of professionals, you will undertake the inspection of damaged vehicles , assessing the full extent of the damage, costs of repair, and timeframes. An important aspect of this job is to identify the correct prescribed repair method and prepare, record, and maintain records of electronic and manual estimates. You will liaise effectively with insurance companies to obtain their authority to repair the vehicle at the estimated costs. You will also communicate with customers, engineers, and technicians to explain and ensure they understand the repair methodology. In the role of Vehicle Damage Assessor , you will be responsible for assessing various vehicles. This involves staying updated with all repair methodologies and understanding different insurers and manufacturers\’ literature and bulletins. Teamwork is crucial, as you will work with colleagues in the bodyshop and other departments. Your goal is to ensure vehicles are repaired efficiently and safely, returning them to the road promptly.
