Overview Are you a Fully Qualified Freight Train Driver looking for a Part Time role, or a Part time Driver seeking a change? We offer an exciting opportunity to work an average of 2 days per week, with full-time work during the Autumn and Winter months, and time off in Spring and Summer! GB Railfreight is a growing and successful business. As we expand geographically and diversify our traffic, we invite fully qualified Freight Train Drivers to register their interest and possibly embark on a new, rewarding challenge with a profitable and sustainable company. Responsibilities As a Train Manager, you will support GBRf in delivering a safe, reliable, and top-tier service to our customers. Your role involves liaising with Rail Operators, Signallers, and Contractors to ensure customer requirements are met and trains arrive on time. Qualifications This shift-based role requires flexibility, with a nominal 34.5-hour week. Shifts vary and include 24/7 coverage, especially at night, which is typical for freight operations. Current Freight Train Driving Experience is essential. Salary: £35,445.00 per annum. Must have a satisfactory safety record and hold a valid UK driving licence. Extensive route and traction knowledge within the area is desirable. Proficient with IT tools such as Word, Outlook, and downloading applications on iPads. Safety-conscious with a calm demeanor during emergencies. Excellent concentration and observational skills. Clear, professional communication skills for safety messaging. Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities. Candidates should reside within 45 minutes of their workplace. Possession of a UK/EU Train Driver Licence is required.
