We have an exciting opportunity for a Materials Specialist to join our Supply Chain team based at our site in Great Yarmouth. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for strategic tactical materials management. This role focuses on ensuring suppliers are reliable and consistently deliver high-quality materials and services in a cost-effective manner. Main responsibilities Accountable for identifying and mitigating potential risks throughout the supply chain, such as disruptions, quality issues, or regulatory changes. Lead departmental activities in resolving non-conformance. Identify root cause and facilitate appropriate corrective actions. Monitor measure and analyse data using appropriate methods to identify potential areas of non-conformance and waste to support improvement activities. Work with key providers to ensure flow of information critical to effective materials management. Perform monitoring activities in support of control and development of external suppliers. Plan and lead Supplier Audits Lead improvement activities in support of KPI’s Management of OMP (Obsolescence Management Planning) Resolve and effectively communicate impact of supply issues Education/qualifications Qualified to Level 3 or higher of the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications in relevant discipline.
