Salary: £24,000 £28,000 per annum (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Working Pattern: All year round

About Our Nursery

We are a small, welcoming, and community-focused early years setting located in Islington (N7), dedicated to nurturing each childs individual needs and supporting their development in a caring and stimulating environment. With three age groups across two well-equipped rooms, we focus on providing high-quality care and education, rooted in the EYFS framework.

Our passionate team of 12 staff members work collaboratively to create a supportive and inclusive workplace culture, where career development and staff wellbeing are priorities.

Please note: there is no on-site parking available, but the nursery is easily accessible via public transport, with Caledonian Road Underground Station just a short walk away.

The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and caring Nursery Practitioners to join our friendly team. You will be responsible for delivering a high standard of early years education and care, fostering strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework.

  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.

  • Support childrens physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.

  • Observe, assess, and record childrens progress and help plan next steps.

  • Promote positive relationships with parents and carers.

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment.

  • Work effectively as part of a team and contribute to staff meetings and training sessions.

  • Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies and procedures.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • CACHE Level 3 in Early Years Education or equivalent.

  • At least 12 years experience in a nursery or childcare setting.

  • Sound understanding of the EYFS and child development.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.

  • Ability to use initiative, be proactive, and maintain a positive, professional attitude.

  • Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
