Ascend Airways | CAMO Project Engineer Bishops Stortford UK £60-65K With a newly acquired UK AOC Ascend Airways are operating a small fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft (NG and MAX) in the ACMI market, opening its first operational base at London Gatwick in early 2024. Supported by 14,000 highly skilled aviation professionals, the group is a parent company to over 250+ subsidiaries Responsibilities Co-ordination of all ACMI and Charter customer audits including the supply of aircraft records, statements and physical inspections. Day to day co-ordination of CAMO related projects including but not limited to aircraft LOPA and Emergency Equipment changes, aircraft transitions and P21/STC mod coordination Oversight the Airworthiness Review Certificate renewal program for the company fleet including the organisation of aircraft physical audits. Oversight of the customer records portal ensuring that the aircraft status reports are kept up to date and are accurate. Day to day oversight of the CAMO Department Compliance Control program including the scheduling and accomplishment of DCC audits, in conjunction with the Compliance Monitoring Manager. Reviewing all regulation changes (Part CAMO, Part 145 and Part 21) on behalf of the CAMO department and drafting proposed changes to the CAME and procedures as required for review by CAMO management.Assist the CAMO department with periodic reviews of supplier contracts to maintain compliance with regulation amendments. Act as the CAMO department focal point for technical related safety investigations and co-ordinate any related investigations. Any other duties as requested by the Head of Fleet Technical Management or Technical Director. The successful candidate will have the following experiences and attributes: Theoretical and practical application-level knowledge of UK CAA regulations and commercial Continuing Airworthiness Management principles and practices Aeronautical / Mechanical Diploma or Part 66 B1 or B2 licence holder Proven experience in a similar role essential Previous experience in a continuing airworthiness role in within the aviation industry Have received formal education with respect to UK CAA Regulations, in particular Part CAMO Interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills Knowledge of and ability to use computer software packages and third party portals Practical application-level knowledge of Safety Management System (SMS) principles and requirements as applicable in the aviation environment At Ascend Airways we offer a competitive salary, and an inclusive and attractive working environment that supports opportunity for career progression.
