Role is based on site in Chard, Somerset – some hybrid working may be possible as/when workload allows
Salary £34K – £46K (DOE)

What skills and experience will the Product Design Engineer need?
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ demonstrable work experience in a similar role with Electrical/Electronic products.
- Full design product development work from concept to manufacture, which includes use of CAD modelling software and demonstrable experience of component or system modification.
- Plastic injection moulding and/or sheet metalwork, fabricated assemblies, rotational moulding.
- Competent at producing Engineering drawings and schemes.
- Good understanding of a range of manufacturing processes and construction methods.
- Good appreciation of loads and forces acting within components and complex assemblies. Stress Analysis and CAE experience is desirable.
- Good hand modelmaking skills to demonstrate proof of principle models.
