Network Maintenance Craftsperson – Instrumentation Join to apply for the Network Maintenance Craftsperson – Instrumentation role at Northern Gas Networks . Position Overview Starting salary from £42,354, rising to £49,776 once fully competent – Pay award pending. Benefits include bonus, incentives, overtime, standby, van, and a permanent role across Yorkshire (York, Hull, Leeds, Bradford). Role Responsibilities Maintain and calibrate instrumentation systems on gas sites, ranging from simple transmitters to fiscal metering systems. Work on a mobile basis across Yorkshire. Participate in standby rota (ideally 1 in 4 days). Fault finding, repair, and replacement of components. Complete paperwork and update systems with results/readings. Commission equipment and use IT for work reporting. Develop gas quality work procedures. Candidate Requirements Instrumentation Apprenticeship (City & Guilds) & NVQ. Logical thinker with problem-solving skills. Proactive team player capable of working independently. Knowledge of codes of practice, engineering instructions, safety standards. Full UK driving license. Preferred Qualifications EUSR Gas passport, COMPEX certifications, SCO, EL6 sign-off, TIM, HNC Level in Instrumentation, experience on gas systems.
