The Lifestyles Service is located in Kirkwall with bases at the Pickaquoy Centre and St. Colms Cafe and Crafts, providing person-centred day services and employment skills development opportunities for adults with a range of learning disabilities. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to advance the Scottish Government\’s agenda as outlined in The Keys To Life and the Health and Social Care Standards, promoting collaborative working with individuals and across partners; working to maximise health, wellbeing, and quality of life. You should have experience in person-centred planning, developing and reviewing support plans, and delivering assessed outcomes. Effective leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential, along with flexibility and adaptability to change. The post holder will work across both bases and in the community depending on service needs. To Be Appointed At Grade F You should hold a minimum of an SVQ2 in Social Services and Health Care, with a requirement to achieve an SVQ3 or HNC within 5 years of appointment. To Be Appointed At Grade G You should hold at least an SVQ3 or HNC in Social Services and Health Care or equivalent, in accordance with SSSC qualification requirements for registration. You should be able to travel efficiently between work locations within Orkney. This post is subject to PVG scheme membership for regulated work with adults.
