Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the QA section for a professional to work alongside our industry leading scientists at our laboratories in Fordham, Cambridgeshire.
Established over 180 years ago, LGC are recognised as a global leader in the field of doping control, drug surveillance and supply chain assurance.
Taking a leading role and working collaboratively with our team of scientists, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the day-to-day management and evolution of QA policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with International regulatory and legal requirements. LGC’s laboratory being accredited to ISO/IEC 17025
In addition, the successful applicant may also have responsibility for a range of environmental, health and safety initiatives.
Job Purpose
- Assure compliance with ISO/IEC ISO 17025
- Define local policies, procedures and systems and ensure they are effectively communicated, implemented, monitored and maintained.
- Provide leadership, advice & support, where everyone takes responsibility for a compliant workplace
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, conduct and report management system audits to assure policies and procedures meet all requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 and customer requirements
- Provide decisive leadership and practical advice to management and staff. Develop training programmes and communication materials
- Effectively prioritise time to critical projects, collaborating with staff: scientists, support staff, team leaders and other groups to manage change. The laboratory is committed to continuously improving its practices while staying in sync with management system requirements
Qualifications
- Experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited or GxP regulated environment
- Background education in Chemistry, or one of the Natural Sciences
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to train others
