We are thrilled to present an opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our friendly and supportive team at Park House in Bedford on a part-time, permanent basis. Park House provides accommodation for 14 adult residents, focusing on person-centred, evidence-based rehabilitation care plans to maximise independence and recovery. Our wheelchair-accessible facility includes a lift, training kitchen, community garden, plus four transitional bedsits for those ready to take a step into more independent living. Situated adjacent to Bedford Park, Park House provides residents with easy access to the lush surroundings and recreational opportunities. Our location near the town centre ensures convenient access to local amenities, occupational and educational resources, as well as a plethora of social and leisure activities. We specialise in post-acute rehabilitation and manage long-term neurological conditions, emphasising therapy, care, and quality of life. What you\’ll be working: Our standard working hours for this role are15 hours per week, to be worked over 2 or 3 days that include Monday and Tuesday.However,we understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, andwe willdo our best to accommodate your preferences where possible. What you\’ll be doing: Complete assessment and clinical formulation of patients’ presentation and treatment needs Provide evidence based individual and group treatment programmes to address or reduce the negative impact of the patients’ presentation, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary working to achieve the best outcomes Evaluate the effectiveness of individual and group treatment programmes Direct and support others to carry out evidence-based psychological interventions Take personal responsibility for ensuring that appropriate security procedures are always adhered to and that risks are continuously assessed and managed Maintain CPD of an HCPC Registered Practitioner Clinical Psychologist and to ensure competence in relation to the administration and scoring to psychological assessments and risk assessments Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, and carers Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights What you\’ll have: HCPC registration Have been fully qualified for at least two years Experience or an evident and demonstrable interest in neuropsychology and/or behavioural interventions Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
