Our client, a distinguished entity in the IT sector, is seeking a skilled Java Developer for a permanent position within their Health, Adviser and Employer IT team. This role operates on a hybrid working pattern, with the expectation of working two days per week in any of their offices. Key Responsibilities: Implement the software development life cycle: build, maintain, test, deliver, release, and document software solutions. Write clean, secure, and well-tested software with method commentary. Complete all necessary documentation, such as support manuals and test and release notes. Investigate and fix faults, providing root cause analysis and recommendations. Carry out releases, troubleshoot, and provide support. Perform infrastructure maintenance tasks. Understand and apply architectural pattern designs. Translate design into code and document work using required standards. Design solutions with embedded security controls. Ensure solutions are user-focused, strategically aligned, and integrated across teams. Build and test software to meet design specifications. Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and propose solutions. Job Requirements: Experience in the use of appropriate tools/technologies for the design, development, build, testing and deployment of Java/JEE applications. Experience in integrating disparate applications and technologies using Java. Familiarity with modern web application frameworks and integration technologies.
