Location: RG7 4PR , located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking . Package: £48,250 – £70,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience) Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. Let us introduce the role AWE is currently recruiting for a SAP Centre of Excellence Lead for the Enterprise Applications group. The Role: Assess the impact of current business processes and configurations and provide recommendations for improvement. Understand and translate business processes into SAP solutions to ensure the solution meets the business needs. Collaborate with other members of the SAP and non-SAP teams on cross-functional solutions. Understand from the business (working with Directors, Programme Managers, Resource Managers, and Process Owners etc.) what information they require to deliver their requirements. Using expertise in the Application Platform and in how it supports business process, propose technical solutions (seeking to exploit existing tools and technologies). Provide business analysis services (requirements gathering, process design and improvement) and business change services in support of CIO projects, tasks, and services. Produce effective work plans and documentation to support the team through development and upgrades. Who are we looking for? We do need you to have the following: Develop functional and technical specifications for the SAP projects. Strong hands-on development experience in WRICEF. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Excellent skills in managing vendors, third-party organizations, and services. Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we’d like you to have experience in some of the following: End-to-end understanding of the manufacturing process. Functional expertise in multiple SAP modules. Worked on EWM/WM/MM technical objects. Good experience in ABAP (RF Screen, PPF, enhancements, CIF). Proficiency in S/4 HANA (CDS views, Modelling, etc.). Strong in OOPs ABAP, Interfaces, with preferable experience in Idocs and APIs. Overseeing the work of implementation partners. Using SAP to support industry standard and best practice business processes. Focusing on service quality, service availability, and operational capability. Identifying and mapping risks in existing applications, processes, and activities. Building partnerships with internal and external parties, including all business units and vendors. Strong acumen to understand the business needs and ability to manage services in a very dynamic environment. Knowledge and experience with SLA’s, OLA’s, and Contracts in insourced or outsourced environments. Knowledge and experience with Agile and Lean process methodology. You’ll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
