Description

Are you a talented litigator with a passion for recoveries? Are you ready to take your career to the next level with a dynamic team where your expertise will make a tangible impact? If so, we want to hear from you! The Recoveries department deals with pursuing subrogated recoveries on behalf of insurer clients. This is a new role within our litigation team. The purpose of the role is to effectively manage a portfolio of Delegated (DA) litigated cases, review them, and submit to the Court in terms of litigation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Organising, prioritising, and handling own workload according to SOPs to meet critical dates, KPIs, and SLAs.
  • Managing the litigation process effectively to ensure KPIs and SLAs are achieved.
  • Adhering to all Court deadlines.
  • Drafting court documents.
  • Liaising with policyholders, including drafting communications.
  • Using the case management system effectively.
  • Reserving and maintaining accurate, timely key case information.
  • Meeting critical dates.
  • Documenting actions and strategies via file notes.
  • Labeling all documents clearly in the case history.
  • Delivering quality work that meets audit standards.
  • Driving personal development.
  • Contributing to team efforts and morale.

Working Hours

35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. The primary location is Leeds.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Previous legal experience, including litigation.
  • Experience in drafting legal documents such as witness statements, bundles, and court order applications.
  • Preferably experience in quantum negotiations.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, handle enquiries, organise workload, and work collaboratively in a team.
