Job Description
A Distribution Group based in Petersfield, Hampshire, has an opportunity for an ambitious, driven Financial Controller to undertake responsibility for driving the management reporting and overseeing the financial management of the business. The role will be pivotal in driving business performance and supporting growth initiatives through the provision of insightful KPI’s.What will the Financial Controller role involve?Reporting to the Managing Director, the main responsibilities of the position will include:
- Preparation of the annual budget and quarterly reforecasting and the provision of any variance analysis required;
- Development of management information reports to meet the needs of each individual department and analysis of any new business opportunities;
- Oversee all financial accounting operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP and that robust financial controls and procedures are in place, developing and implementing any improvements as and when required;
- Ensure that all statutory returns are submitted on time including VAT and any required import and export documentation.
Suitable Candidate for the Financial Controller vacancy:
- Applicants for the Financial Controller role will possess a strong technical skill set with a hands-on approach to reporting;
- A demonstrable commercial acumen and exceptional analytical skills will be required as will the ability to quickly adapt to changing market conditions and work collaboratively with non-finance stakeholders;
