Your Role
- As a Senior Manager in our business you’ll help define the strategy and set the direction to grow our business, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team.
- Advise clients on optimizing payment systems, processes, and strategies using your expertise in digital payments, payment operations, technology implementation, and data analytics.
- Work with cutting-edge payment technologies and platforms to modernize payment infrastructures and enhance transaction efficiency.
- Understand and solve complex challenges, presenting solutions to stakeholders across the payments ecosystem.
- Be adaptable and solution-agnostic, working with diverse client requirements as payment technologies and regulations evolve rapidly.
- Write thought leadership pieces on payment industry trends and innovations.
- Support the development of sales proposals and payment transformation offerings.
- Contribute payments SME knowledge across merchant acquiring, payment processing, digital wallets, and emerging payment methods.
- Build a network across the organization and with clients, contributing to the Payments practice community.
- Lead teams and become actively involved in future business development opportunities.
Your Profile
- Experience in payments, either in an advisory, technical, operational, or leadership capacity, ideally within a bank, payment service provider, fintech, or public sector organization.
- Understanding of the latest payment regulations, specifically PSD3, ISO 20022, Open Banking, and real-time payment schemes.
- Experience with payment technologies, including mobile payments, digital wallets, card payments, and account-to-account (A2A) payments.
- Project delivery experience, either as a lead or part of a project delivery team.
- Knowledge of agile delivery methodology, including writing or contributing to user stories.
- Ability to present complex problems and solutions to senior stakeholders, both in person and virtually.
- Commercial awareness to support engagements and identify market opportunities.
- Ability to work across both technology and business stakeholders.
- Business development – generating c.£1m of consulting revenues (senior manager).
Set yourself apart:
- Knowledge of card scheme rules, card processing flows (authorization, clearing, settlement), interchange optimization, and card product management.
- Understanding of how payments data can enable banks to deliver personalized digital services and experiences.
- Experience with transaction banking and corporate payment solutions, including cash management and liquidity services.
- Experience in writing points of view or presenting on payment industry trends and emerging payment technologies.
- Awareness of the latest payment industry trends.
